Summary
We’re currently seeking an experienced and proactive Storage Administrator within our Enterprise Infrastructure team. This is an opportunity to join a top UK organisation that is constantly increasing its client base, within the team providing technical services for the gaming and business platforms – this is a dynamic team working with cutting edge technologies.
Key accountabilities
• Configure backup clients including APIs and SAN disk attachment
• Manage a fabric switched SAN environment (Brocade)
• Resolve and manage incidents and problems (in particular in relation to TSM and related client applications)
• Performance tuning and troubleshooting of SAN technologies (IBM DS range and SVC), recommending improvement opportunities.
• Define and improve the technical processes surrounding the backups
• Administer the TSM infrastructure by updating environment configurations to Camelot standards
• Act as a source of information to colleagues providing direction, technical knowledge and training
Skills & experience
Demonstrable experience within a similar role, to include:
• Strong demonstrable knowledge of SAN infrastructure
• (preferably IBM DS storage range and Brocade switches)
• Strong demonstrable knowledge of TSM infrastructure
• Ideally, good knowledge of IBM SVC virtualisation technology
• Good knowledge of Unix systems, perl/shell programming, DB2, TCP networking and DNS
